Volume, sound, captions, motion and the browser-provided microphone device identifier stay in memory for your visit. If you turn on “Save settings on this device”, they are stored under innerplay:prefs. Turning it off deletes them.

innerplay:input-mode holds voice-or-text choice, innerplay:age-ack:… holds that you acknowledged meeting a story’s age threshold, and innerplay:session-result holds the story, ending and verbatim typed transcript. They normally go when the tab closes, although browser restore may preserve them. The acknowledgement is not age verification. You can delete the transcript sooner.

Our host, Vercel, processes ordinary request data such as IP address, browser and request details to deliver, secure and diagnose the site. Ending-script requests also include story, ending and choice codes in the URL. The current production runtime-log window is up to one day.

This site sets none.

There is no behavioural analytics, advertising, account or marketing profile in this build. Hosting logs are not used to profile players.

Nothing is sold here, so no card or billing detail is ever asked for.

We rely on legitimate interests to provide, secure and diagnose this free service. Saved settings are optional and controlled by you.

Saved settings remain until you turn saving off or clear browser data. Session choices and transcripts normally end with the browser page session, although browser restore may preserve them. Current runtime logs are available to us for up to one day.

Vercel provides hosting and may process data outside the UK. Its data processing terms provide contractual transfer safeguards. Vercel also handles some service-generated data under its own privacy terms. You can read Vercel’s data processing terms and privacy notice.

You may ask about, object to, restrict, correct or erase personal data we control. Email akash@chaitonix.com. We will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days and handle it without undue delay. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Speaking is optional. The browser asks before anything listens, and every story can be typed instead.

While a story listens, your voice is measured in the page — loud or quiet, speaking or not — to move the form on screen. It is not recorded.

In this build, nothing you say leaves your device. No story is voiced by a live model yet, and no audio is uploaded anywhere.
